Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

Safety Compliance & Monitoring

• Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, and practices.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws, standards, and company policies.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Training & Awareness

• Organize safety training sessions and drills for employees.
• Promote a culture of safety through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
• Provide guidance on safe work practices and emergency procedures.

Incident Management

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate emergency response when required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Update safety manuals and procedures as needed.

Collaboration

• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and HR to implement safety programs.
• Liaise with government agencies and auditors during inspections.
• Support risk assessments and job hazard analyses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, BOSH).
• Prior experience in safety or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of local and international safety standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willing to commute in BGC, Taguig City
