SAFETY OFFICER

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field
• Possess a valid Green Book
• Having at least 1 year of working experience in Safety, Health and Environment
• Possess own transport and willing to travel
• Salary negotiable based on experience
• Working Location: Wisma 99 Speed Mart, Tmn Berkeley, Klang, Selangor

Responsibilities:

• Develop the implementation of the safety policies and procedures in compliance with the regulations
• Liaise with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, and other relevant government agencies with regard to health and safety matters
• Stay up to date with the latest safety regulations and ensure the consistency and improvement in the safety protocol.
• Ensure first aid and welfare facilities for staff are in good condition
• Conducting regular inspections and auditing the operation and facilities of Office, Warehouse and Branches
• Reviewing all HIRARC and Job Hazard Analysis before execution
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g., not using protective equipment).
• Apply, monitor and renew safety-related certificates (e.g., Fire cert, fire extinguisher, and lift CF).
• Able to conduct risk assessments and assist in developing the strategies to control and mitigate the hazards of workplace
• Foster a safety-conscious culture by building the awareness of the safety in the workplace
• Planning and organizing safety-related training programs
• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics
• Stop any unsafe acts or activities that could bring harm to personnel and properties
• Able to provide guidance and support to employees promptly when there is incidents or emergencies occurred
• Preparing the proper documentation for statutory inspection
• Compiles and submit the safety reports
• Submit a Monthly Safety Report and Safety Statistic record to Department of Occupational Safety and Health and HQ
• Able to undertake the ad-hoc tasks and related duties as and when required from time to time which assigned by the superior or manager

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
