Safety Officer

• Develop and implement workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local safety laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain safety records.
• Organize safety training, drills, and awareness programs.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate emergency response and evacuation procedures.
• Work with management and employees to improve workplace safety culture.
• Inspect equipment, machinery, and work areas.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC).
• Monitor contractor and employee compliance with safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Review permits for high-risk work such as confined space entry, working at height, and hot work.
• Maintain safety documentation and regulatory reports.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years experiences.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer (Green Book) with DOSH/JKKP.
• NIOSH safety certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Internal Auditor certification (ISO 45001) is an advantage.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
