Safety Officer

• Ensure timely distribution & usage of PPE by all workers on site
• To attend weekly HSE site walk with main contractor & consultant HSE team
• Ensure all tools, equipment etc are regularly inspected and in good condition.
• Coordinate with the main contractor or other contractors to solve QHSE issues on site.
• Provide weekly TBT prepared by the main contractor and maintain records for the same
• Take part in weekly HSE Managers meeting conducted by the main contractor.
• Maintain safe work procedure at site
• Prepare risk assessment & COSHH Assessment
• Conduct daily Site inspection /Monthly Inspection and reporting
• Arrange necessary third party training for employees at all levels
• To ensure all plant, equipment & power tools using at site are in good condition, monthly inspected and color code updated.
• To provide Induction training to the new joiners and visitors to the site
• Provide legal documents for site induction ( Emirates ID,Passport,Visa,Insurance )
• Implement PTW Procedure
• Training employees on safety issues
• Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures
• Liaise with the head of the unit or controlled entity, OHS Unit and other safety personnel
• Review and analyze injury and incident reports and data
• Develop injury and incident prevention strategies for their area
• Monitor local area compliance with OHS policy and procedures
• Ensuring the standards of Emergency services like Fire Extinguishers, First Aid Box
• Create safety awareness by promoting safety meetings, presentations, and open forum discussions and by implementing safety training. etc

Accountabilities

• Identification of new hazards in working environments
• Proper reporting of accidents and incidents
• Aspects relating to Emergency drills, Fire extinguishers and hoses, First Aid Kits, Eye wash stations/bottles, and emergency contact awareness
• Proper HSE training for new and existing staff/labour
