Safety Officer

About the role

The successful candidate will support the EHS Head in overseeing building and facility maintenance, sanitation, pest control, landscaping, and infrastructure management to ensure a safe, hygienic, and compliant working environment aligned with company standards, food safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily facility maintenance, civil works, repairs, sanitation, landscaping, and pest control activities.
• Ensure buildings, warehouses, drainage systems, restrooms, and other non-production areas meet safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance works.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and recommend facility improvement initiatives.
• Monitor facility conditions, water filtration systems, and sanitary requirements to prevent contamination and operational risks.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, food safety programs, and compliance activities.
• Manage departmental resources, maintenance materials, documentation, reporting, and team performance.

About you

• Graduate of any four-year course, preferably in Civil Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, facility maintenance, quality and food safety management systems, and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
• Occupational Safety and Health or Construction Safety certification preferred.
• Personnel Management and Leadership training preferred.
• Project Management and Process Improvement training preferred.
• Quality and Food Safety Management Systems training preferred.
• Management System Auditing and Documentation Management training preferred.
