- Confirm and enforce applicable Toyota TCSR requirements, BRANVIC safety procedures, site-specific safety requirements, applicable laws/codes, and industry standards within the scope of work.
- Lead daily safety and coordination meetings, including review of the day’s work activities, hazards, JSAs, and required countermeasures.
- Review and ensure completion of Daily JSAs (D-18), including required signatures from the contractor supervisor/foreman, safety representative, and workers involved.

- Support environmental and housekeeping requirements, including spill prevention, waste management, and site cleanliness.
- Participate in required Toyota safety audits and inspections, including TERA/D-35 safety observations, and ensure findings are addressed in a timely manner. Toyota requires contractor safety personnel to complete at least one D-35 per shift, per project, with findings resolved within 24 hours.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, hazard recognition, positive reinforcement, and continuous improvement.
- Provide safety coverage as required by the risk level and workforce size of the project.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct construction/industrial safety experience involving hazards relevant to the work being performed.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification – required.
