Safety Site Supervisor (w/ Yellow Book)

• Conduct daily site safety checks, toolbox talks, and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved method statements, permits-to-work, and safety procedures

• Enforce use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices on-site

• Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance to the Safety & Health Officer and project management

• Assist in preparing and updating HIRARC, JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and site-specific safety plans

• Monitor high-risk activities including working at heights, excavation works, lifting operations, and electrical works

• Maintain site safety records, incident/near-miss logs, and daily safety reports

• Participate in incident investigations and support corrective action implementation

• Coordinate with site supervisors/engineers to ensure safety requirements are integrated into daily works planning

• Ensure compliance with CIDB and site-specific safety requirements

• Support general site supervision tasks such as manpower and attendance tracking, basic progress monitoring, material/equipment checks, and site housekeeping

• Assist project engineers/supervisors with coordination tasks, documentation, and reporting outside strict safety scope when needed

• Act as a point of contact for site-level issues in the absence of other supervisory staff, escalating appropriately

Requirements:

• Valid Yellow Book / CIDB Green Card (Safety Supervisor certification) — mandatory

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a site safety supervisor in construction, telecommunications, or utilities projects

• Working knowledge of Malaysian OSH regulations and construction site safety practices

• Willing to be based in and travel between Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur as required by project schedules

• Physically fit; able to work on active construction/infrastructure sites

• Comfortable taking on general site coordination and supervisory tasks beyond core safety duties

• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Own transport and valid driving license preferred
