About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor to join our team in KL / Johor on a contract basis. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive health, safety and environmental programmes across our construction sites. As Safety Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, protecting our workforce and maintaining our reputation for excellence in safety management.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Developing, implementing and maintaining safety policies, procedures and protocols tailored to project requirements
• Delivering induction and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel are aware of site-specific hazards and safety requirements
• Investigating accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
• Monitoring and recording safety performance metrics, producing reports for management and stakeholders
• Liaising with project managers, contractors and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture
• Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment on site
• Coordinating safety training and certification programmes for site personnel
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date safety documentation and records
• Responding promptly to safety incidents and ensuring appropriate first aid and emergency procedures are followed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Safety Supervisor or Safety Officer within the construction industry
• Valid Yellow Book Holder
• Valid Occupational Safety and Health (OSHD) certification or equivalent recognised qualification
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian construction safety regulations, standards and best practices
• Proven experience in conducting site safety inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification
• Strong understanding of incident investigation procedures and corrective action implementation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage personnel at all levels
• Proficiency in safety documentation, record-keeping and report writing
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with project teams
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture
• Current First Aid certification is highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of safety management systems such as ISO 45001 is advantageous
