Safety Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and patrols; identify unsafe acts and conditions and follow up corrective actions;
• Monitor compliance with the Project Safety Plan, method statements, risk assessments, permit-to-work system, and relevant statutory requirements (including the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance and Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations);
• Assist the Registered Safety Officer in accident, incident and near-miss investigation, and in preparing inspection and investigation reports;
• Deliver safety toolbox talks and safety briefings to workers and subcontractors;
• Support implementation and daily operation of the Smart Site Safety System (4S);
• Assist in safety promotion activities and maintain site safety records;
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Holder of the 43-hour Certificate for Construction Safety Supervisors issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Council (OSHC) or the Construction Industry Council (CIC);

• At least 3 years’ experience on construction work;

• Experience in operating the Smart Site Safety System (4S) is preferred. Holders of a Certificate in Safety Supervision with Smart Site Safety System (SSSS) issued by HKIC will be given priority;

• Valid First Aid Certificate is an advantage;

• Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel;

• Good command of spoken Cantonese and written Chinese; basic spoken and written English is an advantage.
