Safety Supervisor – MITEC

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement the Safety & Health related policies, procedures, instruction and rules and regulation.
• Ensure that safe work condition is maintained throughout the project duration
• Train, monitor and closely supervise all the workers towards minimize safety and health risk during commencing activities at work site
• Conduct training such as tool box briefing and safety awareness to all the workers
• Report any accident, incident or any dangerous occurrence involving personnel or plant & equipment to his/her immediate superior
• Conduct regular safety inspection and identify unsafe condition that may lead to any dangerous occurrence and to ensure the safety system in compliance with the safety & Health legal and project requirements
• Assessing hazard potential for all the activities under their control, record the result of the assessment and devising appropriate preventives measures accordingly
• Regulate and compile data and performance of project sites and produce statistics and reports
• Supervise and ensure all subcontractor’s carry out the work according to the safety & Health procedure, instruction and legal requirements
• Monitor and check the implementation of suitable corrective and preventives actions for any noncompliance issued
• Ensure that safety is a line responsibility and that everyone on this job-site understands the safety concept and show commitment and encourage workers to participate in any Safety & Health related programs
• To issue observation, non-conformance report or Stop Work Order for any identified non-conformance at project site based on the seriousness of the risk
• To cease operation and ensure immediate action is taken if there is high risk on safety of the workers and in order to prevent unsafe working practices.

Requirements:

• An appropriate tertiary qualification associated with the Safety Management. / Registered OYKSSS with Department of Occupational Safety & Health.
• Knowledge and experience of safety & health environment.
• Experience of organising safety & health job for large scale events Internationally, - both exhibition and conference experience.
• Good communication skills – both oral and written.3
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
