About the role

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join the team at Manjoy Gadget Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Taiping, Perak. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the retail and consumer products industry. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales performance across our gadget retail operations. Your contribution will directly impact customer satisfaction, store performance, and the overall success of our business.

What you'll be doing

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, providing assistance with product selection and inquiries
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers, highlighting key specifications of gadgets and consumer electronics
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and payment methods
• Maintain a clean, organised and visually appealing retail environment and product displays
• Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability
• Answer customer questions and resolve issues professionally and courteously
• Achieve individual and team sales targets through effective selling techniques
• Provide product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences
• Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy and integrity
• Support the team in executing promotional activities and seasonal campaigns

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in the gadget, electronics, or consumer products sector
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
• A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for customer service
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst maintaining individual accountability
• Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn
• Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance and punctuality
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Knowledge of current gadgets and consumer electronics is advantageous
• Fluency in English and Malay is preferred; additional languages are a bonus
