About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Advisor to join our established sales team in Stafford.

We specialise in the aftermarket supply of car, light commercial vehicle and truck parts, serving both trade and retail customers.

As a Sales Advisor, you will play an important role in the success of our branch. You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, building strong relationships, understanding their needs and helping them find the right parts at the right price.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with our Sales, Warehouse and Delivery teams to provide a fast, reliable and professional service.

Your main focus will be to maintain and grow our existing customer base, develop new business and maximise sales and margins, while ensuring customers receive excellent service every time.

Key Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, both over the phone and via other platforms
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing trade customers.
• Identify opportunities to win new customers and increase sales.
• Provide knowledgeable advice on vehicle parts and identify the correct parts for each application.
• Work towards improving sales, customer retention and profit margins.
• Ensure all customer call-backs and enquiries are completed promptly.
• Work closely with the Warehouse and Delivery teams to ensure customer orders are picked, supplied and delivered correctly.
• Help reduce returns and credits by ensuring the correct parts are identified and supplied first time.
• Understand customer returns and work with the team to identify ways of reducing future returns.
• Deal with customer queries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and contribute positively to the overall running of the branch.
• Support other areas of the branch when required.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years' experience in automotive parts, motor factors, vehicle parts sales or a similar role.
• Good knowledge and/or experience of cars, commercial vehicles and/or motor parts.
• Previous experience in sales, motor factors, automotive parts or a similar customer-facing role is desirable.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.
• The ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships.
• A positive, energetic and hardworking attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, margin and customer retention.
• A genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Every other Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
