Sales and Customer Support

We’re looking for a Sales and Customer Support person who enjoys building relationships and finding the right solutions. The role combines office-based support with getting out on the road to visit customers, understand their needs and develop long-term relationships.

You don’t need to be a technical expert. Product knowledge can be taught. What matters is your sales experience, customer service skills and ability to build genuine relationships.
 
Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of key customers
• Build strong, long-term customer relationships
• Find new sales opportunities by speaking with customers and understanding their needs
• Promote parts, servicing, repairs and equipment solutions
• Visit customers regularly to understand their needs and future
• Prepare quotes, tenders and sales plans when required
• Keep customer, sales and equipment records up to date
• Work closely with the service, parts and technical teams to find the right solutions
• Keep up to date with competitors and changes in the market
• Support sales campaigns, marketing and business development activities
• Work towards sales targets and KPIs while providing great customer service

Skills
In this role, you will ideally have previous experience in sales, business development or account management. A mechanical mindset or background in industrial, construction, electrical, trades, heavy machinery or automotive industries will be highly regarded and will help you hit the ground running.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Confident using CRM systems and keeping sales records up to date
• Good attention to detail and ability to learn new computer systems
• Strong understanding of the importance of workplace safety
• Self-motivated, organised and able to manage your own schedule
• Proactive, commercially minded and focused on finding the right solutions for customers
• Full Drivers Licence and valid Police Check required or willing to obtain
