Sales & Estimating Manager

We're looking for a driven Sales & Estimating Manager to join our team - If you're someone dynamic, looking for a role where sales skills and technical know-how both get put to work, we've got a great opportunity for you.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you'll be the whole package — winning work AND pricing it profitably. One day you're on-site building trust with a client and scoping the job the next you're back at your desk turning drawings into a quote that wins. No two days will look the same.

You'll work within Klackers, a hands-on, owner-led industrial business based in Wiri, Auckland, delivering a broad range of mechanical and fabrication services.

Key responsibilities

• Building strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients
• Conducting site visits to scope jobs
• Preparing accurate, competitive quotes
• Liaising closely with our workshop and field teams on job scope and materials
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across all Klackers service lines
• Maintaining accurate records of quotes, jobs and client communications

About you

• Proven experience in both sales/business development and estimating — ideally within an industrial, mechanical, engineering or trades environment
• The ability to scope work accurately and turn it into profitable numbers
• Genuine self-confidence and a drive to win business — energetic, with a "no excuses" attitude to your results
• Strong relationship-building skills — people enjoy dealing with you, and trust you
• Well organised, with good attention to detail and follow-through
• A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
