Sales & Event Specialist

Village Catering Company is seeking a Sales & Event Specialist to join our Sales team! This full-time position is an exciting opportunity for an organized, personable, and proactive individual who enjoys working with people, building relationships, and helping bring events together from the initial inquiry through event completion.

The Sales & Event Specialist will support sales and event operations for weddings, corporate events, social events, tastings, and other special events. This role combines sales, customer service, event coordination, administrative responsibilities, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage client inquiries and assist with sales, proposals, contracts, payments, and event coordination.
• Build positive relationships with clients, venues, vendors, and community partners.
• Maintain organized client records, event details, and schedules.
• Assist with tastings, bridal shows, promotional activities, and event setup and execution.
• Collaborate with Operations, and Culinary teams to ensure a great client experience.
• Support daily sales and administrative needs while identifying ways to improve organization and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours based on event schedules.
• Ability to travel locally and assist with event-related tasks as needed.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
