Sales And Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Sales

• Identify and develop new B2B customers in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Visit customers regularly and understand their technical requirements.
• Promote and sell industrial products, machine tools and consumables.
• Prepare quotations and coordinate with customers until order finalization.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and pending orders.
• Develop long-term relationships with existing customers.
• Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.

Service & Technical Support

• Visit customer sites for installation, inspection, troubleshooting and service support.
• Understand customer complaints and provide first-level technical solutions.
• Coordinate with the internal team/suppliers for technical issues requiring further support.
• Demonstrate correct usage and application of products.
• Maintain records of customer visits, complaints and service activities.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain customer and enquiry information in CRM/Excel.
• Submit daily/weekly visit and sales reports.
• Coordinate with stores, purchase and accounts teams for order execution.
• Collect market feedback regarding competitors, pricing and customer requirements.

Required Skills

• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Basic mechanical/engineering knowledge.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and product specifications.
• Good negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable with customer visits and field work.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word and email.
• Ability to independently handle customer requirements.
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence is preferred/required.

Education

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.

Candidates with a Diploma + relevant industrial sales/service experience can also be considered.
