About the role

Dykin Engineering Part & Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales & Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. This is a full-time position that combines technical expertise with sales acumen to drive business growth and customer satisfaction. As a Sales & Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our engineering capabilities and our clients' needs, ensuring both technical excellence and commercial success.

What you'll be doing

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the engineering maintenance sector, building and maintaining a strong client pipeline
• Providing technical consultation to clients regarding maintenance solutions, equipment specifications and service offerings
• Conducting site visits and assessments to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate maintenance strategies
• Preparing quotations and technical proposals tailored to client needs and specifications
• Managing the delivery of maintenance services to clients, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to agreed timelines
• Building and nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients to increase customer retention and repeat business
• Liaising between clients and our service delivery teams to ensure effective communication and problem resolution
• Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, service delivery and sales activities
• Keeping up to date with industry developments, competitor offerings and technological advancements in engineering maintenance

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in engineering maintenance, service delivery or a related technical field
• Proven track record in sales, business development or a customer-facing engineering role
• Strong technical knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment troubleshooting and service protocols
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients
• Proficiency in using sales tools, CRM software and Microsoft Office applications
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to assess client requirements and propose effective solutions
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a customer-centric approach
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required
• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations and best practices in engineering maintenance is advantageous
