Sales & Technical Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated junior Sales and Technical Coordinator to support our management team in technical documentation, quotation preparation, customer coordination and general office administration. This is a hands-on support role suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience. Technical guidance and drawing reviews will be provided by our senior technical personnel.

Key responsibilities

·       Prepare and revise basic AutoCAD drawings, sketches, general arrangement layouts and drawings for quotations based on instructions and existing references.

·       Compile and organise product catalogues, technical specifications, submission documents and quotation attachments; check completeness and accuracy.

·       Support new product development by updating existing drawings, organising design information and coordinating material enquiries.

·       Assist with customer enquiries, quotation preparation, email correspondence and follow-ups; escalate commercial decisions to management.

·       Source potential local and overseas suppliers, request quotations, compare offers and follow up on technical information. Final supplier selection and purchasing approval remain with management.

·       Assist with routine HR and office administration, including employee leave records, recruitment arrangements, staff documentation and reminders for reviews.

·       Coordinate with the senior technical team for drawing checks and technical guidance, and assist with other technical tasks when capacity permits.

Requirements

·       Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Drafting, or a related technical field; fresh graduates are welcome.

·       Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD is required; able to read and understand simple technical drawings.

·       Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and email for documentation and coordination.

·       Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language skills for communicating with overseas customers and suppliers will be an advantage.

·       Organised, careful with details, resourceful and willing to handle a mix of technical and administrative duties.

·       Able to take initiative, follow up independently and ask for clarification when information is incomplete.

Reporting and training

The position reports directly to management. A senior technical team member will provide technical guidance, review drawings and may assign additional technical tasks when workload permits. Commercial approvals and work priorities remain with management.
