Sales Application Engineer / Steam Systems Specialist

• Position : Sales Application Engineer / Steam Systems Specialist
• Location : Tagore Industrial Ave / Client Sites as Required
• Working hours : Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
• Salary (commensurate with experience) : S$5,500–S$6,500 per month
• Benefits: S$500 fixed transport allowance for employees using their own car, mileage reimbursement of S$0.60/km capped at S$400 per month, mobile reimbursement up to S$75 per month, and performance-based variable bonus

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and product expertise for steam traps, boilers, fluid control systems and other steam-related products.
• Conduct thermal and steam-system audits, identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions that improve performance and generate cost savings.
• Support the sales team in assessing customer requirements and proposing suitable technical solutions.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving engineering concerns.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations and training for customers and internal teams.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers’ engineering and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers and principals on quotations, technical specifications and product support.
• Support engineering projects from solution development through implementation and completion.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitors and potential product improvements.

Requirements:

• Relevant technical experience with steam traps is essential.
• Practical experience with other steam-related products or systems, such as boilers and fluid control systems.
• Proven experience conducting thermal or steam-system audits.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or another engineering discipline is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical assessment and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good written and spoken communication skills, with confidence in delivering presentations and technical training.
• Commercially minded and comfortable supporting customers and sales activities.
• A valid driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous due to regular customer-site visits. Alternative approved transport arrangements may be considered.
