Sales Application Engineer / Technical Engineer (Steam Specialist)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Sales Application Engineer – Steam Specialist to support growth in our steam and process equipment business. The role combines technical engineering expertise with consultative sales, focusing on steam systems, process applications, and energy-efficiency solutions.
• The successful candidate will work closely with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal engineering teams to understand technical requirements, develop suitable solutions, prepare quotations and proposals, and drive projects from technical discussion through to order completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sales opportunities for steam equipment and related solutions.
• Provide technical advice on steam systems, equipment selection, and applications.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
• Work with customers, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Support the sales process from initial enquiry through to project completion.
• Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new accounts.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, or Technical Sales.
• Strong knowledge of steam systems, boilers, valves, steam traps, heat exchangers, or related equipment.
• Experience in industrial/process industries is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
