Duties

• Greet clients warmly, using great eye contact and clear communication.
• Assist stylists with preparing workstations, cleaning tools, and maintaining sanitation standards including proper sanitation of hair tools, equipment, and styling stations.
• Support with retail sales by recommending products like hair extensions, and skincare products; upsell effectively to enhance client satisfaction.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, answering phone inquiries, and handling client check-ins and check-outs.
• Assist with hair coloring, hair styling, and applying glosses to support stylist services.
• Maintain cleanliness of the salon environment by sanitizing work areas regularly and adhering to health regulations.
• Mentor new team members on salon procedures, customer service excellence, retail techniques, and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• A strong interest in cosmetology is highly preferred. This is a great way to receive more education and get you better prepared for your career.
• willingness to learn hair coloring technique, blow drying, and shampooing
• Strong communication skills to engage confidently with clients and team members.
• Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for all clients and staff.
• Basic retail math skills for upselling products effectively while providing excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn is essential.
