Sales Asistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join the Matahari Tire Indonesia team in Kendal, Jawa Tengah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our sales operations. As a Sales Assistant, you will be at the forefront of our retail operations, helping customers find the right tyre solutions whilst maintaining an organised and welcoming store environment. This role is essential to achieving our sales targets and building lasting relationships with our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and providing product information about tyres and related automotive products

• Assisting customers with product selection based on their vehicle requirements and budget

• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

• Maintaining stock levels and conducting regular inventory checks

• Restocking shelves and displaying products in an attractive and organised manner

• Handling customer inquiries and resolving complaints professionally and courteously

• Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks such as order processing and record keeping

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues as needed

What we're looking for

• Related bachelor's graduate

• Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in the automotive or tyre industry

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively

• Proficiency in basic mathematics for handling transactions and calculations

• Ability to use point-of-sale systems and learn new retail technologies quickly

• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

• Physical capability to lift and move stock items safely

• A positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic

• Knowledge of tyre specifications and vehicle types is advantageous but not essential
