About the role

We are seeking a Sales Assessor to join our dynamic sales team in South Dunedin, Otago. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in evaluating customer requirements, providing expert recommendations, and converting enquiries into sales. As a Sales Assessor, you will be the face of Premier Insulation Otago, building relationships with potential clients and ensuring they receive tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate customer properties and insulation requirements
• Provide expert advice and recommendations based on industry best practices and product knowledge
• Prepare detailed quotations and proposals tailored to each customer's needs and budget
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
• Identify sales opportunities and work towards achieving sales targets
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns and objections
• Follow up with leads and manage the sales pipeline effectively
• Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of customer service
• Keep accurate records of assessments, quotations and customer interactions
• Stay updated on product offerings, pricing and industry developments

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a sales representative or sales consultant role, ideally within the home improvement, energy efficiency or construction industry
• Strong knowledge of insulation products and energy efficiency solutions, or the ability to quickly develop this expertise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
• Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and provide tailored solutions
• Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Ability to prepare clear, professional quotations and proposals
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in using computer systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm for customer service and problem-solving
