SALES ASSISTANT BUTCHER

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our butcher shop team. The successful candidate will assist customers with their purchases, prepare and display meat products, maintain cleanliness, and support daily shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Recommend meat products based on customers’ needs and preferences.
• Weigh, pack, label, and price meat products accurately.
• Assist with basic meat preparation, cutting, trimming, and portioning when required.
• Maintain attractive and well-stocked meat displays.
• Operate the cash register and handle customer payments accurately.
• Check product quality, freshness, and expiry dates.
• Receive, store, and arrange meat products according to food-safety requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the shop, counters, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow proper food-handling, hygiene, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when products need replenishment.
• Assist with stocktaking and daily inventory checks.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve basic complaints professionally.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a butcher shop, supermarket, food retail, or customer service is an advantage.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Willing to handle and work with raw meat products.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
