Sales Assistant

About the role

B Optique is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our dynamic sales team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, and offers an exciting opportunity to support our sales operations whilst developing your skills in a fast-paced retail and sales environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the achievement of our sales targets. This position is integral to our retail operations and provides a stepping stone for career development within the sales industry.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Assist customers in selecting optical products and eyewear solutions that meet their needs
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
• Maintain knowledge of current product inventory and stock levels
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Support the sales team in achieving daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
• Maintain a clean, organised and visually appealing retail environment
• Process orders and manage documentation related to sales transactions
• Contribute to stock management and conduct regular stocktakes as required
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in the optical industry or similar customer-facing roles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues
• Strong numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems or similar software
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends as needed
• A genuine interest in customer service and sales
• Basic knowledge of optical products or willingness to learn
• Reliability and a professional approach to work
