Sales Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Sales Assistant to support daily boutique sales, customer enquiries, product presentation, and general retail administration.

You will welcome customers, provide product information, maintain displays, process transactions, update customer records, and support the wider boutique team.

Previous jewellery experience is helpful but not essential. Product knowledge and company procedures will be introduced through training.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide attentive service
• Assist customers with jewellery and product enquiries
• Provide accurate product and pricing information
• Support product demonstrations and customer selections
• Process sales and routine payment transactions
• Maintain clean and organised jewellery displays
• Replenish display items according to company procedures
• Update customer contact and enquiry records
• Assist with appointment bookings
• Prepare jewellery packaging and customer purchases
• Support stock counts and inventory checks
• Maintain accurate product and sales records
• Respond to routine telephone and email enquiries
• Assist with customer follow-up and collection arrangements
• Support promotional events and boutique activities
• Handle customer information confidentially
• Follow appropriate product-security procedures
• Support general boutique administration when required

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, sales, or administration is helpful but not essential
• Applications from career starters and candidates changing industries are welcome
• Jewellery, fashion, beauty, or luxury-retail experience is beneficial but not required

Education

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are preferred
• A university degree is not required
• Relevant retail, customer-service, sales, or practical experience will be considered

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
