Our client is an Australian luxury jewellery brand specialising in 18kt gold jewellery, Italian-inspired designs, bespoke pieces, engagement rings and wedding bands. They're passionate about giving customers a warm, personalised and memorable jewellery experience.

About the Role

We're looking for a warm, friendly, energetic and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our client's team. This is a customer-facing role, so sales experience and strong customer service skills are essential. You'll be passionate about jewellery, confident when speaking with customers, professional in presentation, and motivated to achieve sales results.

Experience or skills in administration and marketing would be highly regarded and may open up opportunities to support other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and provide a professional, personalised experience
• Understand customers' needs and recommend suitable jewellery
• Build strong relationships and support customers through their purchasing journey
• Confidently present and explain jewellery products, designs, materials and features
• Work towards individual and team sales targets
• Follow up with customers via phone, email and other channels
• Assist with engagement ring, wedding band, gold jewellery and bespoke jewellery enquiries
• Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of the showroom
• Assist with stock handling, displays and basic inventory tasks
• Process sales and assist with customer payments and sales administration
• Follow company procedures, policies and instructions
• Work collaboratively with the team and contribute positively to the team environment
• Support basic admin tasks, marketing activities and content creation when required
• Assist with promotions, events and customer engagement activities
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times

About You

• Previous experience in sales and/or customer-facing retail is essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident approaching and engaging with customers
• A genuine ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products
• A positive, results-focused attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and company procedures
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Professional appearance and presentation
• Warm, friendly and approachable personality with high energy and enthusiasm
• A genuine passion for jewellery, fashion and luxury products
• Willing to learn and develop your product and jewellery knowledge

Highly regarded (not essential):

• Administration experience
• Marketing or social media experience, including content creation
• Experience with customer databases or CRM systems
• Previous experience in jewellery, luxury retail or fashion

Training & Development

We provide 40–45 hours of training covering product and jewellery knowledge, customer service, sales techniques, and our client's procedures and systems. We're looking for someone genuinely willing to learn, who accepts feedback positively and is committed to growing within the business.
