Sales Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at (GVS BARBER AND SALON SUPPLY) GVS Global Solutions Sdn Bhd' in Butterworth, Penang. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their purchasing needs in Barber and Salon Products. This is a full-time role that offers the opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
2. Assist customers with product selection, answering queries, and completing sales transactions
3. Maintain a clean and well-organised store environment
4. Restock and replenish merchandise as needed
5. Process cash, credit, and other forms of payment accurately
6. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve customer experience
7. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

1. A friendly and outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
2. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
3. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
4. Proficient in handling cash and credit card transactions
5. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment
6. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred, but not essential
