Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and friendly Sales Assistant aged 18–20 to join our dynamic retail team.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates aged 18–20 who want to gain valuable experience in retail, customer service, sales, communication, and teamwork. Previous retail experience is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.

You will be responsible for helping customers, recommending products, maintaining an attractive sales environment, processing transactions, and supporting the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly and professional service.
• Ask customers about their needs and recommend suitable products.
• Assist customers throughout their shopping experience.
• Answer questions about products, prices, promotions, and availability.
• Help maintain clean, organised, and attractive product displays.
• Restock shelves and assist with stock checks.
• Process cash, card, and other customer transactions accurately.
• Use basic POS and computer systems to process sales and update information.
• Promote special offers and suitable products to customers.
• Work with colleagues to achieve excellent customer service and team objectives.
• Communicate customer feedback and stock issues to supervisors.
• Follow company procedures for customer service, cash handling, and store operations.
• Develop your sales and communication skills through practical on-the-job experience.

Requirements

• Must be aged 18–20 years old.
• Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with customers.
• Good basic English.
• Basic numeracy and computer skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• Previous retail or customer-service experience is an advantage but not required.
• Additional language skills are welcome.
