Sales Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in a busy hardware, agri and DIY retail store. We have full-time and part-time positions available for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy retail environment and is willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with product enquiries.
• Helping customers find the right products to meet their needs.
• Supporting sales across hardware, agricultural, DIY and other retail product ranges.
• Replenishing shelves, pricing stock and maintaining an organised shop floor.
• Receiving, moving and displaying stock as required.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the store.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming shopping environment.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, helpful and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• A reliable, hardworking and positive approach to work.
• Willingness to learn about products and develop product knowledge.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of agricultural products, hardware, tools and DIY supplies would be a distinct advantage.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial.
• Basic computer skills and confidence using computer systems would be an advantage.
