Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Upsell complementary products and services to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
• Handle cash, process payments accurately, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment
• Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers
• Assist in training new team members and supervising junior staff when needed

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities is a plus
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly desirable
• Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory control practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
• Professional phone etiquette when engaging with customers or vendors
