Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly and proactive Sales Assistant to join our team in our Bakers. In this role, you will help customers find the products they need, provide outstanding service, and support daily shop operations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organised, and enjoys engaging with people.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs.
• Provide detailed information about our range of bakery items, including ingredients and preparation methods, if required .
• Handle transactions efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) systems, ensuring accuracy and speed.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment by restocking shelves and managing stock levels.
• Offer personalised recommendations to encourage customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages or issues promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude is more important.
• Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with diverse customers.
• Basic IT skills for operating POS systems and managing records.
• Good organisational skills to keep the workspace tidy and manage multiple tasks efficiently..
• Time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.

Pay: £10.85-£12.75 per hour
