Sales Assistant

1. Customer Service & Engagement

• Welcome Customers: Greet shoppers warmly, understand their preferences, and offer helpful product recommendations.
• Handle Inquiries: Provide clear details on daily specials, ingredient lists, allergy information, and pricing.
• Resolve Issues: Handle customer feedback or complaints calmly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. Sales & Revenue Generation

• Drive Sales Targets: Promote breads, pastries, cakes, and beverages to meet or exceed daily/monthly sales goals.
• Upsell & Cross-sell: Suggest complementary items such as gift packaging, candles, cold/hot drinks, or seasonal add-ons.
• B2B / Field Sales (if applicable): Build and maintain accounts with local retailers, cafes, or wholesale clients if operating in a distribution role. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

3. Order Handling & Management

• Take Orders: Manage custom, bulk, or pre-orders placed in-store, over the phone, or via digital/online channels.
• Ensure Timeliness & Accuracy: Coordinate with the baking and decorating team so custom cake and pastry orders are ready on schedule. [1, 2, 3]

4. Cash Register & Billing Operations

• Process Transactions: Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately for cash, credit/debit cards, and UPI/digital payments.
• Reconcile Sales: Maintain basic daily sales records, cash drawers, and transaction logs. [1, 2, 3]

5. Merchandising, Display & Stock Control

• Product Presentation: Arrange bread, cookies, and pastries neatly and attractively in glass display cases or shelves.
• Stock Monitoring: Track inventory levels, replenish empty displays, and rotate older stock following First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles to minimize waste. [1, 2, 3, 4]

6. Cleanliness & Food Safety Compliance

• Maintain Hygiene: Keep the counter, seating/waiting area, display cases, and packaging stations clean throughout the shift.
• Adhere to Regulations: Follow local health, safety, and food-handling standards. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
