Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Seasonal Associate to join our team during peak periods. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain retail experience, develop organisational and communication skills, and contribute to creating a welcoming shopping environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store presentation, and supporting sales initiatives.

Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers and assisting with their enquiries.
• Support merchandising efforts by organising displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and maximise sales opportunities.
• Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently, handling transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the store environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers using excellent phone etiquette, offering assistance both in person and over the phone.
• Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled shifts, especially during busy periods.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and basic stocktaking activities.

Requirements

• Fluency in English;
• Strong communication skills with an ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts accurately.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience or interest in merchandising, retail sales, or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during shifts.
• Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via other communication channels.
• Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating organisational skills and adaptability during busy periods. This position offers valuable experience within a vibrant retail environment, providing opportunities for personal development and skill enhancement in customer service, sales techniques, organisation, and communication.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
• A keen interest in sales and an aptitude for upselling products will be beneficial to succeed in this role.
