Sales Assistant (Male/Female)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering great customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the one engaging with customers, promoting our products, and contributing to the overall success of our store operations. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the electronics retail sector.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and providing expert product knowledge and advice to help them make informed purchasing decisions
• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems, whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy
• Displaying and merchandising products in an attractive and organised manner to maximise visibility and appeal
• Assisting with inventory management, including stock checks, receiving deliveries, and maintaining accurate records
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving concerns professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Promoting special offers, new products, and promotional campaigns to drive sales and increase customer awareness
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming retail environment that reflects our brand standards
• Supporting the sales team to achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets
• Demonstrating products to customers and explaining features, benefits and specifications in a clear and engaging manner

What we're looking for

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification and can atleast understand English and BM
• Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in electronics or a similar retail environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a genuine passion for helping customers
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling transactions
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new point-of-sale systems
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift stocks as part of daily duties
