Sales Assistant Manager — Screen Printing Shop

We're looking for a highly independent, decisive person to help run day-to-day operations at our screen printing shop. We need someone with experience handling client relationships, production flow, and shop operations with minimal oversight.

Schedule: Part-time to start with the goal of transitioning to full-time based on performance and fit.

What you'll be doing:

Operations & Decision-Making

• Run daily business operations and make day-to-day decisions
• Open and/or close the shop
• Manage the production schedule, prioritizing jobs as needed
• Order supplies for the shop, including inks (weekly), apparel, and miscellaneous items
• Track inventory and receive/check incoming blanks

Client-Facing

• Send quotes to clients and handle invoicing
• Respond to client emails, phone calls, and general inquiries
• Meet with clients in the showroom to discuss projects and orders

Production

• Approve set-ups and designs on press
• Give final approval on designs before they go to print
• Work closely with the team of printers to keep jobs on track

What we're looking for:

Experience

• Highly knowledgeable in the screen printing process
• Previous experience working in a screen printing shop (required)
• Experience quoting screen printing jobs
• Knowledge of blank apparel brands and fabric differences (preferred, not required)

Skills

• Strong decision-making ability — comfortable taking ownership and acting without needing constant direction
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, especially when juggling and prioritizing multiple jobs
• Clear, confident communicator — with clients, printers, and vendors alike
• Inventory management skills — keeping accurate counts and knowing when to reorder
• Problem-solving mindset — able to troubleshoot issues on press or in scheduling without escalating everything
• Trustworthy and reliable, especially with opening/closing the shop

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
