About the role

We are seeking a Sales Assistant (Part Time or Casual) to join our Joondalup store in Western Australia. This is a part-time or casual position based in Joondalup and Butler. As a Sales Assistant, you will be at the heart of our retail operations, delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales through product knowledge and genuine engagement. This role is essential to creating a positive shopping experience and achieving store performance targets, whilst working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner, understanding their sleep needs and preferences
• Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to help customers select appropriate mattresses, bedding, and bedroom solutions
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
• Demonstrate products and help customers experience our mattress range in-store
• Maintain a clean, well-organised and visually appealing store environment
• Achieve personal and store sales targets through effective customer engagement
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and helpful manner
• Assist with stock management, including receiving, checking and displaying merchandise
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer experiences

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others
• The ability to build rapport with customers and identify their needs
• Enthusiasm for sales and a drive to achieve targets whilst maintaining integrity
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
• Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work part-time or casual shifts as required
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and industry standards
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
