About the Role

Eyehut is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Optical Assistant / Canvasser to join our team in Chapel Market.

This is a varied role combining traditional Optical Assistant duties with a strong focus on **canvassing .**You will play an important part in helping grow the practice by engaging with the local community, building relationships, and promoting Eyehut's services, while also delivering excellent customer care in-store.

Key Responsibilities Optical Assistant Duties:

• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Help patients choose suitable frames and lenses based on their needs and preferences.
• Book appointments and manage patient enquiries.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
• Carry out administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient journey.

Canvassing & Community Engagement:

• Actively promote Eyehut's products and services within the local community.
• Generate leads and encourage new patients to visit the practice.
• Build relationships with local businesses, community groups, and residents.
• Participate in marketing activities and local promotional events.
• Identify opportunities to increase awareness of the Eyehut brand.
• Meet agreed canvassing and patient engagement targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident approaching and engaging with members of the public.
• Sales and customer service experience would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
