Our team is the heart of the Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming experience. We are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping pets and their families feel welcome, supported, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

How We Create a Great Store Experience

· Pet parent experience: Our associates are at the center of the pet parent experience. Whether they are helping coordinate a smooth grooming visit with our groomers or guiding customers to the food, treats, toys, and supplies that best fit their pet’s needs, they bring knowledge, care, and genuine enthusiasm to every interaction.

· Merchandising, presentation, and product guidance: A great store experience depends on a welcoming, easy-to-shop environment and a team that knows the products we sell. Our associates help keep the store looking its best through thoughtful merchandising, stocking, pricing, and presentation, while also guiding pet parents to the food, treats, toys, supplies, and services that best meet their pet’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

· Previous retail, receptionist, or customer service experience, with the confidence to answer phones and book appointments accurately.

· Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing approach to helping pet parents.

· A genuine love for animals and people, along with compassion for pets and their unique needs.

· Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and helpful in a busy store environment.

· Comfort with cash handling, store safety procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

· Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.

· Assist pet parents in selecting pet food, treats, toys, supplies, services, and other products that meet their pets’ needs.

· Schedule grooming appointments correctly and answer phones professionally. Work closely with the grooming staff and support their productivity.

· Answer basic product questions and explain appropriate use when needed.

· Operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and other payments accurately.

· Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and easy-to-shop sales floor.

· Restock merchandise, rotate products, check product dates, and remove expired or damaged items.

· Receive, unpack, and organize inventory shipments.

· Create and maintain attractive product displays and promotional areas.

· Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management.

· Follow store safety, sanitation, and animal-care procedures, including safe handling of store animals when applicable.

· Assist with opening and closing duties.

· Handle customer concerns professionally and notify management when support is needed.

· Promote store services, promotions, loyalty programs, and special events.

· Help maintain a welcoming, clean, and positive environment for customers, pets, and team members.

· Work as part of a team and complete additional duties as assigned.

Additional Strengths We Value

· Sales experience or a natural ability to recommend products and services with confidence.

· Experience working in a pet store, grooming salon, veterinary office, or other animal-care environment.

· Comfort learning new products, services, systems, and store procedures.
