Day-to-day job duties in this role will rely heavily on your customer service skills, attention to detail and your desire to uphold the Janovic promise as “The Color Authority”. We are looking for individuals with retail sales experience who are eager to develop their skills, particularly those with experience in the paint industry. Job Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner.
• Advise and assist customers with their choice of product.
• Utilize suggestive selling and the assumptive approach to drive sales.
• Create orders and process sales according to established procedures.
• Verify the accuracy of orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in restocking product to ensure salesfloor is well merchandised.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Paint Retail experience is desired, preferably one year or more. Individuals with Hardware Retail experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Our stores are open Monday-Friday (7am-6pm) and Saturdays (8am-4pm). Employees must be available to work shifts that are scheduled during those business hours and some overtime as necessary.
• Must be reliable and demonstrate commitment to scheduled shifts.
• Must be able lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks.
• Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
• Must be team-oriented and able to work well with others.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
• Must possess a professional appearance and demeanor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
