Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen interest in retail sales. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales expertise in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and promoting products effectively.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Upsell additional products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked
• Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability
• Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, balancing registers, and processing payments
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Assist with product knowledge sharing in bilingual settings if applicable
• Support store operations through supervising experience when needed, including supervising team members or training new staff

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product displays
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor
• Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive shopping experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
