Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join Xhale Smoke N Vape at our Pharr Location. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. Bilingual abilities and prior retail or grocery store experience are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse clientele.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Upsell items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach
• Manage merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
• Perform basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment to ensure product availability
• Provide detailed information about tobacco, vape, glassware, and other related products

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
• Experience in merchandising, product demos, upselling, and stock management is advantageous
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a broader customer base
• Basic math skills relevant to retail operations are essential
