Company: La Matera Location: Wedgewood Village, Nashville, TN Position Type: Part-Time Initial Term: Six-month pop-up, with the intention of becoming permanent Reports to: Nashville Store Manager

About the Role

La Matera is opening a new pop-up store in Wedgewood Village, and we’re looking for a friendly, motivated Sales Associate to help bring it to life.

For more than 12 years, La Matera has created distinctive belts and accessories inspired by South American craftsmanship and an adventurous, well-lived life. We care deeply about our products, but just as much about how people feel when they encounter the brand.

As a Sales Associate, you’ll help create a warm, personal, and memorable experience for every person who walks through the door. You’ll learn the La Matera story, help customers find products they love, and contribute to the daily energy and success of the store.

This is not a role where you simply stand behind a counter and wait for customers. We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, notices what needs to be done, and is willing to pitch in wherever needed.

Because we’re building this store from the ground up, there will be products to organize, displays to maintain, events to support, and unexpected problems to solve. If you’re dependable, curious, and enjoy making things better than you found them, you’ll probably fit in well here.

What You’ll Be DoingCreating a Great Customer Experience

• Welcome customers and make them feel comfortable in the store
• Learn the La Matera story, products, materials, and craftsmanship
• Help customers select belts, accessories, and gifts that fit their needs
• Deliver thoughtful service without relying on a scripted sales pitch
• Build genuine relationships with customers and help turn first-time visitors into longtime fans
• Process purchases, exchanges, and returns accurately
• Support the store’s sales and customer-experience goals

Supporting the Daily Operation of the Store

• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
• Restock products and maintain accurate, organized inventory
• Keep the sales floor, displays, and back-of-house spaces clean and organized
• Help maintain visual merchandising standards
• Receive, unpack, organize, and move inventory
• Assist with assembling or adjusting displays when needed
• Communicate customer feedback, product requests, and store opportunities to the Store Manager
• Raise questions or problems early so the team can solve them quickly

Helping Build La Matera in Nashville

• Support local events, collaborations, and store activations
• Help create an energetic and welcoming environment during community events
• Share observations about what customers are responding to
• Represent La Matera positively within the Wedgewood Village and Nashville communities
• Pitch in on projects based on your interests, strengths, and the needs of the store
