Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers while driving sales and promoting our products. Must be 21 to apply.

Duties

• Engage with customers to provide outstanding service and support during their shopping experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Assist in merchandising products to create appealing displays that attract customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Maintain well-stocked shelves and assist with inventory management, including stocking and organizing merchandise.
• Utilize effective upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, leveraging any supervising experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with store policies.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is essential.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour
