What they need

Part-Time or Casual | Monday, Wednesday & Friday

IMS Window Furnishings is looking for a motivated, professional and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our showroom team in Castle Hill.

We are currently looking for someone who is available to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on a part-time or casual basis. Weekend shifts are also available for those who would like additional hours.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, has strong attention to detail and is confident managing multiple tasks in a busy showroom environment.

You will be involved in the full customer journey — from the initial enquiry and product selection through to quotations, order processing, installation coordination and after-sales support.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate, you will be one of the main points of contact for our customers. You will work closely with our sales consultants, installers, suppliers and management to ensure each customer's experience is organised and professional.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting customers in our showroom
  • Responding to phone, email and online enquiries
  • Understanding customers' needs and recommending suitable window furnishing products and styles
  • Providing information on blinds, curtains, shutters, Verishades and other window furnishing solutions
  • Booking customer Measure & Quote appointments
  • Collecting accurate customer and project information
  • Preparing, checking, sending and following up quotations
  • Following up customers regarding quotes and helping answer questions or arrange changes
  • Processing accepted orders and confirming deposits
  • Managing customer information and updating our CRM/Pipeline
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, order folders and Active Orders
  • Coordinating final check measures with our installers/consultants
  • Tracking customer orders, factory production and expected delivery dates
  • Communicating order updates and delays to customers
  • Coordinating installation bookings
  • Confirming customer payments prior to installation
  • Assisting with customer enquiries after installation
  • Recording and coordinating product issues, repairs, remakes and return visits
  • Escalating technical, warranty and complaint matters to the appropriate team member
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and professional showroom

The role requires strong organisation as you will often be managing several customers and orders at different stages simultaneously.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Confident and friendly when speaking with customers
  • Professional and well-presented
  • Naturally organised and highly detail-oriented
  • Comfortable speaking with customers both in person and over the phone
  • Confident sending professional emails
  • Comfortable with computers and learning new software systems
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Proactive and able to follow tasks through to completion
  • Comfortable following established processes and procedures
  • A strong team player who communicates well with colleagues
  • Calm and professional when dealing with difficult customer situations
  • Sales-minded, with the ability to identify customer needs and confidently discuss products and options

Previous sales, retail, customer service or administration experience is highly regarded, particularly experience in a showroom, interiors, home improvement or similar environment.

However, we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.

What You'll Learn

Full training will be provided on our products, systems and processes.

You will learn how to:

  • Manage showroom and telephone enquiries
  • Book Measure & Quote appointments
  • Work with our CRM and sales pipeline
  • Prepare and follow up quotations
  • Process customer orders and deposits
  • Coordinate final check measures
  • Track factory orders and ETAs
  • Coordinate installations
  • Manage customer communication throughout the order process
  • Handle post-installation enquiries and escalate technical matters appropriately

Our internal process covers the customer journey from the initial enquiry through to completed installation, with clear procedures for each stage.

What We Offer

  • Part-time or casual employment
  • Regular shifts available Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Weekend shifts available for additional hours if desired
  • Training provided
  • Supportive team environment
  • Professional showroom environment
  • Variety in your day-to-day work
  • Opportunity to develop your sales and customer service skills
  • Exposure to the interior design and window furnishing industry

The Person We're Looking For

This role would suit someone who enjoys a combination of sales, customer service and administration rather than someone looking for a purely desk-based or purely commission-based sales position.

You should enjoy helping customers make decisions, keeping things organised and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Attention to detail is particularly important, as you will be working with customer measurements, product specifications, quotations, deposits, orders and installation requirements.

Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week

Work Location: In person
