Job Summary

Beekman’s Wine & Liquor's is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused sales associate to join our team. If you enjoy working with people, have an interest in wine, beer and spirits, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Duties

• Assist customers with product selection, answering questions and providing personalized recommendations based on their needs.
• Process cash transactions accurately, including handling cash drawers and performing retail math calculations.
• Check IDs and ensure compliance with all alcohol sales laws
• Assist with inventory and deliveries as needed
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment.
• Maintain organized records of sales transactions, cash flow, and inventory to support efficient store operations.
• Keep the store clean and presentable at all times

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience or familiarity with retail store environments is preferred.
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations.
• Experience with banking or financial services is a plus, especially in retail lending or loan processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to handle cash drawer responsibilities accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and cash management.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is a plus (but willing to train the right candidate)
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Able to drive for local deliveries
• Must be able to lift heavy boxes and move comfortably with no restrictions
