Sales Associate

Overview
Join our Council of Wizards as a Sales Associate and become a vital part of delivering customer kindness in a fun filled retail game store environment. In this role, your primary position will be online order fulfillment including picking items from inventory, packing items securely in appropriately sized shipping boxes or bubble mailers, purchasing shipping labels, and delivering outgoing parcels to the post office.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays you will have the opportunity to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide thoughtful recommendations that enhance each customers gaming journey. Your enthusiasm for strategy games, TTRPGs, and TCGs coupled with your dedication will drive sales, foster customer loyalty, and contribute to the overall success of our store. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your order fulfillment and sales skills while working in a supportive and energetic atmosphere.

Shift Assignments

• Monday - Friday
• 1 PM - 5 PM

Duties

• Accurately identify products that have been ordered in the correct quantity.
• Securely package shipments using appropriate void fill and a correctly sized shipping box.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs
• Provide detailed information about products and our schedule of events
• Handle cash transactions accurately using cash handling and cashiering techniques, ensuring proper cash management at all times
• Process sales transactions efficiently using retail math skills and financial software systems
• Support customers with basic math calculations related to purchases and discounts
• Maintain organized displays and ensure the sales floor is clean, welcoming, and well-stocked
• Address customer inquiries promptly, offering excellent customer service to build trust and increase the likelihood of repeat business

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is advantageous; we value honesty, enthusiasm and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
• Basic math proficiency, including 10 key typing skills and retail math knowledge, is essential for accurate transactions
• Experience with cash handling, cashiering, or cash management and point of sale systems is advantageous
• Familiarity with computer operating systems, web browsers, and spreadsheets is required
• Strong communication skills combined with a friendly demeanor will enable you to connect effectively with your teammates and our diverse customer base

Pay: $9.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
