Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
• Demonstrate products confidently, highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer understanding and interest
• Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
• Maintain organized merchandising displays that attract attention and promote featured products
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Support store operations by adhering to phone etiquette, managing time effectively, and maintaining organizational standards

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Familiarity with technology sales, product demos, or technical sales experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly convey product information and build rapport
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing simple calculations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some saturdays, and additional shifts during quilt shows, retreats and classes if needed.

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
