Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding and interest
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Perform basic retail math for transactions, inventory checks, and stock replenishment
• Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries

Requirements

• Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred but not required; training provided
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual environments if applicable
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
• Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
• Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos and explain features clearly
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management best practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Basic math skills for transactions, retail math calculations, and stock assessments
• Familiarity with phone etiquette and professional communication standards
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
