Role Description The Sales Associate role at CosmoProf Beauty in Wheat Ridge, CO is a part-time, on-site position focused on delivering knowledgeable, friendly service to beauty professionals and retail customers. In this role, the Sales Associate assists customers on the sales floor, provides product recommendations, and supports in-store consultations. Daily responsibilities include processing transactions, handling returns and exchanges, restocking shelves, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring the store is clean and organized. The Sales Associate helps with inventory activities such as receiving shipments and conducting counts, and may participate in in-store promotions or educational events. This position works as part of a team to meet sales goals while upholding CosmoProf’s commitment to professional expertise and customer care.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to actively engage customers, identify needs, and provide product recommendations in a professional retail setting.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse customer base and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced store environment.
• Basic math, cash-handling, and point-of-sale (POS) skills to accurately process transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Organizational and merchandising skills to restock products, maintain clean and appealing displays, and support inventory activities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move boxes or products as needed, and follow safety and loss-prevention procedures.
• Interest in or knowledge of professional beauty products, hair care, skin care, or salon services; prior retail or beauty industry experience is preferred.
• Reliable attendance, flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; willingness to participate in ongoing product and sales training is required.
